Dmitry Podolsky has got his PhD from Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics. He currently works as postdoc at Case Western Reserve University. He is also one of the editors of NEQNET.

Saturdays photoguess: what does this monkey symbolize?

There are two questions for this week’s photoguess:
1) What exactly does poor monkey symbolize?
2) Where is this strange artefact located? (Answering this question will also help you to find answer for the question 1).

Hint: the topic of this photoguess is directly related to the subject of one of this week’s posts on NEQNET Saturdays photoguess: what does this monkey symbolize?

Fifty years ago Able and her squirrel monkey companion, Baker, became the first monkeys to survive the trip into space. Sadly, Able died a few days later during surgery to remove an infected electrode.
Able was preserved after her death and is currently on display inside her cradle at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

I’m starting to get a bit alarmed about his sudden silence….can anyone confirm that he’s ok?

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the long silence, I am fine. Just got relocated to the other side of Atlantic, settling down took and takes a lot of time/effort. As soon as I feel that the process of settling down has ended, I’ll relaunch NEQNET.

    Cheers,
    Dmitry.

P.S. It is VERY pleasant to see that many of you guys did not forget NEQNET. BIG THANK YOU!

      Hi Dmitri,

indeed, I did not forget your blog, and I check it at least once a month, because I wasn`t sure if you had deceased although I was sure you were until today. Your blog is damn good, and I learned a lot from it.

One thing I `d to ask you is to invite Natalia Kiriushcheva and Sergei Kuzmin again to post, since they posted an answer to the criticism made here:
