I guess this is the projection of the 4D onto the 3D space, right? It is rather similar to looking at a cube at different angles. You can see a square when you face the cube directly vs a cube in this video. Two squares connected by 4 parallelogram vs two cubes connected by 6 parallelopiped. That’s a nice video.

Yep, but 4d is projected to 2d, and the plane changes its orientation.
